The Crisis

Greece suffered a prolonged recession due to a sovereign debt crisis after the worldwide 2007-2008 financial crisis, or the Great Recession. The Crisis (Η Κρίση) caused sudden reforms and austerity measures that led to widespread impoverishment, loss of income and property, and a small-scale humanitarian crisis.
